Two men have been arrested in connection with a case of ‘jugging’ after they’re accused of breaking into a car and stealing $850. A third man is still on the loose.

‘Jugging’ happens when people who come out of banks with cash are targeted for robberies or car thefts, according to Cedar Park police, and it is urging people to not leave valuables in their vehicles. In this case, a witness said two men broke into a vehicle around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday and then drove off in another car.

An officer spotted their car in Leander and pulled it over along the 183A toll frontage road. One of the men ran off into a wooded area, but Jaquis Washington, 28, and Chrisholl Lewis, 27, were arrested.

The two men face burglary charges, and Lewis also had a parole violation for a home burglary charge.
