AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man faces a murder charge after Austin police say he stabbed his father to death Monday in east Austin.
APD said the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Joshua Dominic McKinley, 33, in Leander after an incident just after 1:40 a.m. in the 7300 block of Tumbleweed Drive. That’s near LBJ High School and Purple Sage Drive.
APD said according to witness accounts, Joshua stabbed his father, Aaron Eugene McKinley, inside the home. Medics tried to save Aaron’s life but he was pronounced dead at the scene around 2 a.m. Joshua immediately left the scene, witnesses told APD.
