San Marcos police searching for masked robber caught on camera

Crime

A robbery suspect has been on the loose since early February, and the San Marcos Police Department has released security video to try to catch him.

A man wearing a mask and wig walked into a Metro PCS store Feb. 4 around 4:50 p.m. He had a black handgun and had the worker at the store on 1515 Aquarena Springs Drive hand him cash from the register.

Police identified the man without his mask on from security footage at a shop across the street. He bought something there prior to the robbery. There are also pictures of his black, four-door Hyundai Sonata with black custom wheels.

Police believe the man may have robbed other places. They’re asking anyone with information to call 512-753-2108 or email detective Aubry at paubrey@sanmarcostx.gov.
