ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A woman’s body was found inside a storage facility along Interstate 35 in Round Rock Monday morning.

The Round Rock Police Department says the victim, identified as Dora Quiroz-Gonzalez, 41, met her estranged husband, Jose Villasenor Diaz, 44, at Life Storage located at the corner of I-35 and McNeil Road. When she arrived, police say Diaz stabbed her to death while she was inside one of the units.

Police say they originally responded to the storage unit around 10 a.m. for reports of the body. When officers arrived, they arrested Diaz.

A crime scene at the Rocking Horse Ranch Apartments at 1801 East Palm Valley Blvd. in Round Rock is also related to the scene at the storage unit, which is approximately 3 miles away.

Villasenor Diaz is booked into the Williamson County Jail where he faces a murder charge.
