Police seek man behind Snapchat profile after south Austin murder

A drug deal at a south Austin apartment complex ended in the shooting death of a teenager, as officers search for the user of a Snapchat profile believed to be connected to the case.

Police say a group of friends hanging out in a south Austin apartment early Monday morning decided to buy marijuana.

Officers say two other friends were going to be paid for arranging the purchase.

Isaac Christopher Morey, 19, was then contacted and agreed to drive to the Willow Brook Apartments at 412 E. William Cannon Dr., just west of Interstate 35, to deliver the drug.

The buyer arrived at the apartment a short time later, followed soon after by two other men who held the people inside at gunpoint, demanding the marijuana from Morey.

After Morey handed over the marijuana, police say the three men were about to leave when one of them stopped and shot Morey.

Officers were called to the scene at 1:43 a.m. and medics took Morey to South Austin Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:18 a.m.

Austin police say one of the three suspects used a Snapchat account username of king_tlee59 with a vanity name that appears as Lil Trouble B *.

Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the user from Snapchat to call Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text “Tip 103” and your message to
