JOHNSON CITY, Texas (KXAN) — Three men from California were arrested Wednesday after police found 108 pounds of marijuana in their car.

The Johnson City Police Department says two officers stopped a truck at 11:49 p.m. with the three men inside after seeing its license plate lights were out. One officer smelled marijuana, and they conducted a probable cause search.

Officers found three large duffel bags of marijuana, worth about $500,000, in the trunk and behind the rear passenger seat. They also discovered 6 grams of THC wax in Samuel Urban’s wallet and backpack.

Urban, 35, Joshua Gilson, 20, and Bo Nunn, 31, all face second degree felony charges. Nunn was also wanted in California on a felony assault warrant and will be extradited to that state.
