Photo: Wells Fargo bank robbery suspect in southeast Austin


AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Wells Fargo bank in southeast Austin was robbed Monday afternoon, the Austin Police Department said.

Officers were called to 1825 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., just north of East Riverside Drive, at 1:09 p.m. 

Police say a man demanded money and left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described by police as a 6-foot or 6-foot-2 black male in his 20s, wearing a dark hoodie, black jeans and welder’s goggles. He also had a red backpack and black boots.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was shown during the robbery.
