CANTON, Ohio (KXAN) — An Ohio man accused of killing and skinning a dog and then posting the act on social media appeared in court Friday morning.
According to News 5, the video of Scott Winter, 46, surfaced last month on Facebook. Police say Winter skinned a pit bull at a home in Canton and the video was uploaded by a family member. The report indicates the dog was dead at the time of the skinning.
During Winter’s court appearance, a judge set his bond for $250,000 and ordered that he not have contact with animals.
WKYC reports Winter’s girlfriend has also been charged with a second-degree misdemeanor, with sources telling them a dog skull was found in a fire pit.
