AUSTIN (KXAN) — A patient leaving Dell Seton Medical Center had a knife pulled on him Wednesday afternoon.
University of Texas police said the discharged patient was outside the hospital’s emergency room around 12:49 p.m. when the suspect pulled out the knife.
The suspect asked the patient if he had a knife. Police said the patient told the suspect he didn’t and then went for help.
Described as a white male in his 30s, the suspect was wearing a black shirt with multi-colored writing, jeans and a blue backpack.
UTPD is actively investigating the incident and asks anyone who sees someone matching the suspect description to call 911.
