Man accused of taking MAGA hat, throwing soda at teens arrested

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KXAN) — A man captured on video slinging soda at a teen and taking his “Make America Great Again” hat in a San Antonio Whataburger has been arrested.

Kino Jimenez, 30, was arrested by the Universal City Police Department and faces a theft of person charge, KSAT reports. That’s a state felony.

The teens were at the restaurant when they say a man came up to them “unprovoked.” In a video of the exchange, Jimenez tells them “You don’t need to support s**t” before walking away with the hat.

Whataburger released a statement saying none of its employees witnessed the exchange and added that it doesn’t condone that behavior in its restaurants.

President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted a response to the story Thursday, saying he would get the teen a new hat signed by the president.
