News

AUSTIN (KXAN) – A bit of Austin comedy came to an end Saturday. The street performer “Crazy Carl”, who worked on Sixth Street for more than 40 years retired.

Carl spent 25 of those years working outside of the Esther’s Follies shows, handing out flowers and even showing a bit more skin than most people expect.

The troupe gave Carl a send-off at Saturday’s shows. He retired to help take care of his wife, Charlotte.
