Congressman’s missing son found safe

HOUSTON, TX (WCMH) — University of Houston police tell NBC station KPRC that the son of a congressman was found safe Friday morning.

According to KPRC, Carl Conyers, 21, is a student at the University of Houston, and went missing Tuesday afternoon.

Conyers is the son of House of Representatives member John Conyers of the 13th Congressional District of Michigan.

Carl Conyers’ girlfriend told KPRC, he was last seen going into his bedroom at his apartment Tuesday. When she entered the room on Wednesday, it was a mess, there was a backpack full of clothes, and his cell phone was left behind.

Police say Carl Conyers’ photo shows him with a beard, but he has recently shaved that off however.
