AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas Gas Service crews are busy fixing a problem at a South Austin apartment complex caused by a car crash. At about 3 a.m., a car hit a meter in the complex on Douglas Street, near Oltorf Street. It caused enough damage that neither fire crews nor the Texas Gas meter technician could fix it.

A construction team is working on the problem and hopes to have the issue resolved in a couple of hours. Police officers have shut down Douglas Street at Oltorf Street while the repair crew works.
