AUSTIN (KXAN) — America’s Got Talent is coming to the Lone Star State this weekend.
Auditions will be held at the Austin Convention Center on Saturday, Nov. 19. Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Nick Cannon, Mel B and Simon Cowell are all returning for season 12 of the hit show.
You can be any age and showcase any talent. It’s your chance to be a part of a show that puts you in front of millions and changes your life.
Austin is among four other cities — Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Cleveland — to be among the first in the country to hold auditions.
At the America’s Got Talent website, you can sign up for auditions or submit a video of your act.
Tips for a successful performance
Simon Cowell, judge and creator of America’s Got Talent, has the following advice for acts:
- Be original.
- Don’t be boring.
- Stand out from the crowd.
- Be fearless.
Those auditioning are encouraged to dress to impress and come with the outfit you want to wear on TV. It doesn’t hurt to wear something you’re comfortable in but will also let you stand out in the crowd. For specific advice for singers, dancers and variety acts, visit the show’s website here.
