AUSTIN (KXAN) — When Amazon announced they were offering one-hour delivery service in Dallas last month, customers in other Texas cities were hoping the service would expand to include their city. Well, Austin customers are in luck. Starting Thursday, customers in Austin can receive one-hour delivery on various products.
Prime Now is available to all Amazon Prime members in select Austin zip codes. Additional zip codes in Austin will be added as the service expands.
“A few of the most popular items delivered through Prime Now in Texas since we launched in Dallas are Campbell’s Soup, bottled water and organic iced tea,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. “We know customers in Austin will love the opportunity to skip a trip to the store and get items delivered right to their door in under an hour.”
In Austin, Prime Now is available from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99.
