AUSTIN (KXAN) – After 10 years of performances at their East Austin location, the Salvage Vanguard Theater began packing their bags Sunday.

Last September, the theater found out they have to vacate by June 30. The city’s rise in property rates has made it difficult for the company to renew their lease.

With the lease now coming to a close, the theater is asking for a lending hand as they begin to move out.

According to the Salvage Vanguard Theater’s Facebook event, moving dates are as follows:

  • June 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • June 27- June 30 (times to be determined)
