Maggie Glynn is a Capitol Correspondent, covering statewide stories and reporting on the Texas Legislature in Austin for more than a dozen stations across the state. She joined the Nexstar Austin Bureau at KXAN in February of 2020.
Maggie spent the first few months of her time at KXAN covering the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes updating the public on the latest information from the governor and other state officials, and telling impactful stories of those who have been directly affected by the virus.
Before moving to Austin, Maggie was the weekend anchor and reporter at KAMR Local 4 News in Amarillo. She loved being able to tell the stories of people in the Panhandle, and realized she wanted to continue to cover stories that impact more Texans across the state.
Maggie has had a passion for news her whole life. She grew up in the Chicago area before attending and graduating from Marquette University in Milwaukee. She interned at TODAY’S TMJ4, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee.
Outside of work, Maggie loves outdoor adventures, including paddle boarding and hiking. She also is an avid Orangetheory Fitness fan. On weekends, she loves meeting new people and watching the latest series on Netflix.
