Brianna Hollis

Brianna joined the KXAN team in November 2021, tasked with covering the public safety beat.

She’s deeply passionate about three things: journalism, volleyball and the New England Patriots.

Before following her career to Austin, Brianna worked for WKRG in Mobile, Alabama, where she was known for her diligence in holding officials accountable and pushing for answers. Her first stint as a reporter was in the bitter cold of Wausau, Wisconsin. While in the Midwest, she was recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcast Association for her live reporting and her investigative work covering turmoil at the state’s youth prison, which former Governor Scott Walker ultimately ordered to shutter. Prior to her on-air roles, she wrote and produced for Boston 25’s 6-hour morning show.

When she’s not reporting, she’s on the volleyball court, be it sand, grass or indoor. Her athletic career at Northeastern University wasn’t enough for her, and she’s excited to see what the Texas volleyball community has in store for her.

Brianna wants to know what YOU want to see in Central Texas when it comes to area crime and your safety. You can email her at brianna.hollis@kxan.com and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
