Blake DeVine is a morning reporter for KXAN News. He joined the station in March 2022.

Waking up weekdays at 3 a.m. Blake covers breaking news, city government and previews events. He also writes, edits and shoots all his own videos. 

Before moving to Austin, Blake was a sports anchor and news reporter at KEYT in his hometown of Santa Barbara, California. He covered countless wildfires, COVID-19’s impact on local businesses and the Rose Bowl Game.

He was honored with a Golden Mike Award for “Best Live Coverage” reporting on a fast-moving fire that almost burned down his TV station.

Blake graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Sports Management. Throughout college, he interned with the NBA in New York City and NFL Network in Los Angeles.

When Blake isn’t reporting, you’ll find him paddle boarding, watching sports or singing on stage.
