Billy moved to Texas from Oregon in November 2019 with his wife, Jessie, and black lab, Nellie, to start working at KXAN as a digital content producer.

Previously, he covered all levels of sports for newspapers across Oregon, including four years for The Oregonian and OregonLive.com in Portland.

He loves all sports, especially baseball, and once ran a mile without shoes on.
