AUSTIN (KXAN) - One man was killed and another was detained after a shooting Thursday at The Zone Apartments in the 4700 block of East Riverside Drive, police said.
The call came in just before 2 p.m. to building 10. When KXAN cameras arrived, crime scene investigation vehicle was already parked nearby. The victim was a 29-year-old man who was pronounced dead at 2:40 p.m. The man being detained was not identified nor did police immediately make clear the men's connection with one another or if either lived at the complex.
"We feel like this is an isolated incident. The public's not in danger," said Cpl. Chad Martinka an Austin Police spokesperson.
This was the 13th homicide of the year in Austin.

The complex used to be called Longhorn Landing.
