AUSTIN (KXAN) - A familiar voice represented Austin Monday night on NBC's The Voice.
Malford Milligan was one of the singers during the blind auditions. Malford is a favorite here on the music scene in Austin.
On The Voice he gave a smooth rendition of "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green, but couldn't get a chair to turn.

KXAN caught up with Milligan backstage at ACL Live last week ahead of his performance and asked about his time on the show.
"I was really surprised because some of these shows are tough on people, they just kind of grind them out," Milligan said. "But they made every effort to make us all feel like we should win, you know, providing voice coaches, the whole bit. I mean, it was a really good experience for me."
He joins fellow local artist and Air Force veteran Jonny Gray.
Gray, who made it on Team CeeLo, is originally from El Paso and now calls Austin home.
Last year, in honor of his musical achievements, Gray was honored by Mayor Lee Leffingwell.
The blind auditions continue on The Voice Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on KXAN.
