AUSTIN (KXAN) - KXAN is adding two more hours to its morning newscast beginning Sept. 3.
The team of Sally Hernandez, Brian Sanders, meteorologist Mark Monstrola and traffic reporter Amanda Dugan will provide viewers with additional in-depth coverage of local stories, First Warning Weather forecasts and rush-hour traffic reports.
Once the newscast on KXAN that starts at 4:30 a.m. ends at 7 a.m., it will move to our sister station, The CW Austin, and stay on the air until 9 a.m.
“Our commitment to our audience is growing,” said KXAN News Director Chad Cross. “We know the busiest time of the morning for many of our viewers is 7 to 9 a.m. It only makes sense we continue to provide valuable, local coverage of what’s happening each morning that could affect the start of your day.”
