BUDA, Texas (KXAN) - Two people were killed and several others were injured after a wreck involving a charter van and a sport-utility vehicle, according to Buda police.
The van was carrying six passengers, in addition to the driver, from the Creekside Villas Senior Village
when an SUV coming in the opposite direction crossed the center line and hit the van. The van then flipped and went into a ditch.
The man driving the SUV, William Bevill, 68, died at the scene.
74-year-old Joyce Wilkerson, a passenger on the bus, died while en route to the hospital.
The six other occupants in the van were transported to the hospital -- three patients at Seton Hays were released a few hours later. Two are in stable condition at University Medical Center Brackenridge.
The driver of the SUV was the only person in his vehicle.
The crash happened about 1:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Jack C. Hays Trail , near Main Street.
