CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) - A Leander High School football star was back in the Williamson County Jail Friday. Greg Kelley, 18, was arrested on a second child sex charge.
Cedar Park police say a second pre-school aged victim complained in the case against the high school senior. And Chief Sean Mannix told KXAN his detectives are interviewing a third family to see if their pre schooler was also victimized.
"There are people that are dramatically impacted, Chief Mannix said. "And in this particular case, I hope that everybody keeps an eye on the fact the victims here are two four year-old children who have to live with whatever occurred for the rest of their life."
Kelley was first arrested on Aug. 9 after the first pre-school aged child made an outcry to their mother. Investigators say Kelley had access to both children while living at a home in Cedar Park on Marysol Trail on the city's west side, where a woman was running an in-home daycare. Police say the daycare provider had no idea there was possible criminal activity happening on premises.
A spokesperson with the Leander Independent School District said Kelley has been placed at their alternative school since the first day of classes and has not been allowed to play football.
Kelley's first court hearing is scheduled Sept. 23.
