LEAKEY, Texas (AP) — Investigators say a suspect in a South Texas double slaying and the wounding of a girl has been found dead in an apparent suicide.
The Real County Sheriff's Office said the body of 52-year-old Robert Bryan Jones was discovered Sunday in a ravine on his property near Leakey. County Judge Garry Merritt says Jones apparently shot himself.
Authorities say a man and a woman were fatally shot and a girl was wounded Saturday afternoon in an area near where Jones was found dead.
The sheriff's office on Monday did not immediately provide names of the slain adults and the injured child or any relationships. Further details were not immediately available.
Leakey is about 120 miles northwest of San Antonio.
