AUSTIN (KXAN) - Junebug, from the PAWS Shelter and Humane Society, is KXAN's Pet of the Week.
Junebug is a 3 year-old pit bull mix. She is well trained and behaved, housebroken and docile, but she does have some allergies. She appears to thrive on a raw food diet, according to PAWS.
Here is a description on the shelter website:
"Junebug is a perfect example of how dogs are mirror images of those who care for them, their resiliency and their desire to be a companion and show love. Junebug, entered the Austin shelter system a shy, lonely, and abused lady. After being adopted she was found left alone on the streets starved, sick, and scared. Luckily, there was a group of guardian angels who got her the veterinary care needed to nurse her back to health and treat her for heartworms before bringing her to PAWS. Junebug, is a great dog - affectionate, easy on the leash, house and crate trained, gentle with small children and ready for her forever home. Make a place for Junebug in your life, and you'll never regret it."
