(CNN) - Haley Nugent, 18, is a mom in trouble.
Police ticketed the teenager for child neglect on Monday. She isaccused of abandoning her 2-month-old daughter at an Omaha daycarefor an entire week.
The daycare provider tried to get ahold of Nugent for days, bothcalling and texting, but heard nothing for a week.
"She called me drunk the next day and said she was coming to gether without [a] car seat, so that's when I called someone to comeget [her,]" said the daycare provider.
The daycare provider bought the little girl everything sheneeded: A car seat, diapers, formula. She believes the young motherstill wants to party and does not know how to take care of herdaughter.
"Maybe this is the best thing [to] straighten her out a bit,"said the daycare provider. "I'm just glad I was there to make sureshe was safe and stuff."
Nebraska Health and Human Services said Nugent will have to gothrough a series of evaluations to determine if she will be able toget her daughter back.
