AUSTIN (KXAN) - A 25-year-old Burnet man is behind bars after allegedly shooting a man at a party around 2:30 Sunday morning.
Police say Ricardo Torres and 22 year old Vidal Rodriguez got into a verbal argument at a party. They took the argument outside where witnesses say it turned into a physical fight.
Witnesses say Torres pulled a gun and shot Rodriguez several times in the chest.
Police say Torres left the scene, but investigators found him at his home, where he was arrested.
The gun has not yet been recovered.
Torres is expected to be charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Rodriguez was in critical condition.
