HORSESHOE BAY, Texas (KXAN) - Police in Horseshoe Bay are sifting through surveillance video to figure out who stole an ATM from a hotel lobby in the early morning hours on Monday.
A loss prevention specialist at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott Hotel reported the ATM stolen about 7 a.m.
The brazen culprit(s) cut support bolts before moving the machine from the east side of the hotel and loading it into a vehicle on the west side of the building.
Police were reviewing security footage from inside the hotel as well as several external sites. On-duty hotel personnel were also being interviewed, police chief Bill Lane said.
Lane said they were also working with the ATM's leasing company to obtain GPS data and track the movements of the machine.
Management personnel said the ATM contained "several thousand dollars," according to Lane.
Several 'persons of interest' are being looked at, but no was being classified as a suspect yet in the case, the chief added.
