AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin Police are on the scene of a suspicious death in north Austin Sunday morning.
A man's body was found in an apartment at the Great Hills Apartments on Morado Circle near Braker Lane and 183.
APD said they responded to a call about a shooting just after 3 am. When they arrived on scene, they found the man's body with what they're calling "obvious trauma."
Police now confirm the deceased is a 46-year-old man who was living with a 34-year-old woman.
That woman, who an investigator calls the man's girlfriend, is now being questioned as a person of interest in the case.
APD expects the medical examiner to conduct an autopsy Monday.
