AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police needs help locating and identifying a suspect involved in a car jacking that left two people injured in South Austin earlier this week.
Police said a man and a woman were sitting in their vehicle when the suspect approached them and attempted to steal it. The suspect then shot both victims and ran away from the apartment complex.
Police have released a sketch of the possible suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Hispanic Male
- Mid-to-late 20s
- 5'9" – 5'11 in height
- Thin build
- Short black hair
- Tear drop(s) tattoo next to his right eye
- Last seen wearing a light blue or gray hoodie
The suspect is believed to still be armed. If you think you see this suspect, please call 911 immediately. If anyone has information about this case, please call robbery detectives at 974-5270 or 974-4201.
