AUSTIN (KXAN) - They were pumping out lots of sunscreen Thursday morning at a summer camp in East Austin.
Representatives of the " Shade Project " delivered a new supply of that protective lotion to the Expedition School.
Kids at the camp enjoy activities on Lady Bird Lake and in the park. They also learn lessons about safety, including how important it is to wear sunscreen.
"It could cause skin cancer if you don't have sunscreen and you might get sunburn and the sun can cause a lot of damage to your skin without protection," said one young boy.
This is just one of the camps where the Shade Project will provide sunscreen this Summer.
