AUSTIN (KXAN) - C3 Presents announced Wednesday the schedule for the 2013 Austin City Limits festival in Zilker Park
For the first time this year the festival will take place over two weekends. According to the schedule all bands with only a few exceptions will play both weekends in the same time slots.
The festival is scheduled for October 4-6 and October 11-13.
Depeche Mode and Muse will headline Friday night each weekend. The Cure and Kings of Leon headline Saturday night and Lionel Richie and Atoms for Peace headline Sunday night.
Festival favorites Wilco play on Saturday night and Vampire Weekend play Friday night.
Austin's own Bright Light Social Hour headlines the Austin Ventures stage on Saturday night at 7p.m.
Austin band White Denim plays Sunday afternoon. Divine Fits, featuring former Austinite Britt Daniel of Spoon, have an overlapping set Sunday.

In years past the Sunday lineup featured a single headlining act to end the festival, but this year the schedule has two headliners and staggers the start times for the two anchor stages of the festival.
The schedule is also staggered on Friday.
On Sunday, Atoms for Peace, the group featuring Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers plays 7:40-9:40 p.m., while Lionel Richie will be dancing on the ceiling from 8:30-10p.m.
Start times for the rest of the bands on Sunday are staggered each half hour instead of starting at the same time.
There are a group of local and emerging artists that will only play one weekend.
Bands playing Weekend One only include Shinyribs, The Weeks, Wick-it The Instigator, Aaron Behrens and the Midnight Stroll, Houndmouth, Wild Cub, Peterson Brothers Band, Courrier, Dana Falconberry, Bobby Jealousy, Max Frost, Latasha Lee & The BlackTies, Kristin Diable & The City, Colin Lake, Brooke Waggoner, Endurance, The Stapletones, and Andy Z.
Artists playing only on Weekend Two include Alanna Royale, Cherub, The Dynamites feat. Charles Walker, Shakey Graves, Luella and the Sun, X Ambassadors, Sons Of Fathers, My Jerusalem, Not In The Face, Whiskey Shivers, The Preservation, CALEB, Shannon LaBrie, Andrew Duhon, Tyree Morris & Hearts of Worship, Heavenly Voices Choir.
The first weekend of the festival is sold out, but there are still 3-day passes available for the second weekend.
