AUSTIN (KXAN) - Actress, comedian, singer and author Sandra Bernhard will perform at ZACH’s Topfer Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Bernhard has performed in film, television, and on Broadway. Her most notable work was on Roseanne and The Kings of Comedy. In recent years, she has made guest-appearances on Hot in Cleveland, Logo’s DTLA, The New Adventures of Old Christine, American Dad, Crossing Jordan, The L Word and Late Night with David Letterman.
“Sandyland,” Bernhard’s newest adventure, will show in Austin at the longest running theater in Texas. The first performance will begin at 7 p.m. and the second at 9:30 p.m. In her musical, Bernhard invites the audience to jam to rock-and-roll, laugh during her stand-up comedy and snag a little burlesque preview.
The New York Times refers to Bernhard as a “living, breathing bonfire” and her new show as “an angst-driven, foul-mouthed, poison-laced joy ride that banks and careens frenetically through the worlds of fashion, celebrity, rock, and religion.”
Tickets are $40, $55 and $70, depending on seat selection. An upgraded VIP experience is also available for $105.
