AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police on Thursday were looking for someone who might have been armed after leaving a bank in the area of Webb Middle School.
The report prompted authorities to lock down the school around 10:30 a.m. while the searching continued. The lockdown was lifted around 12:30 ap.m. A woman who police said was with the armed man was arrested . A car belonging to the man was also located.
According to police, a person was acting suspiciously at a bank near St. Johns Avenue and Interstate 35. They said the couple were trying to cash a stolen check.
Police and tracking dogs were on the hunt for the man.
