AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin Police are investigating a shooting and stabbing in East Austin this Sunday.
Police were investigating a stabbing in the 1700 block of Patton Ln. around 9:00 a.m. Sunday. Austin/Travis County EMS took a man with stab wounds to UMC Brackenridge. APD says his injuries are not life-threatening.
Within two hours, police responded to calls of shots fired in the same area, near Berkman Drive and Patton Ln.
They believe a family member of the stabbing victim pulled the trigger in retaliation. No one was hurt in the shooting. The suspects left the scene before officers arrived.
