AUSTIN (KXAN) - An elderly man is dead after an accident in South Austin.
Emergency crews say the 93-old-man was at a gas station near Westgate and William Cannon when his car rolled onto him Saturday.
Crews tell KXAN the man got into his truck to grab his cane when he saw the hood of the truck open.
He got out to close it when the truck started to roll, crushing him.
Investigators say he died at the scene.
An 8-year-old was killed while standing outside of a vehicle which lost control during the icy conditions, DPS said.
