DEL VALLE, Texas (KXAN) - An inmate at the Travis County Correction Complex in Del Valle was found hanging from his jail cell on Friday afternoon.
According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, a corrections officer was on his regular round of visual checks when he discovered 25-year-old Ryan King's body just after noon.
The officer cut King down and started CPR, but he was declared dead a short time later.
King had been in jail since April and was awaiting trial for an injury to a child charge.
This is the second suicide in the Del Valle facility this year. In June, authorities said Jhane Frye, 27, hanged himself in his cell.
