AUSTIN (KXAN) - Monday, Circuit of The Americas and Bazaarvoice announced the inclusion of a free concert series to coincide with the weekend of the first U.S.Grand Prix Formula One race set for Nov. 16 - Nov. 18.
The series, titled "Austin's Best Rated & Reviewed," is open to the public and will feature a diverse mix of local artists and performers at the Cedar Street Courtyard , located at 208 W. Fourth St.
"The Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix is a world-class event that will bring thousands of people to Austin for the very first time," said Circuit chief revenue officer Geoff Moore. "And once they experience the downtown entertainment lineup to celebrate the weekend, they may never leave. We are fortunate to have Austin's ‘Best Place to Work' as an entertainment partner because they've created an incredible showcase of local musical talent. Grand Prix weekend is going to feature something for everyone to enjoy."
"If Austin is going to have one of its biggest weekends ever, we knew Bazaarvoice had to be a big part of it and we wanted to do it in a way that was authentic to Austinites and visitors, alike," said Mark Piening, vice president of business development for Bazaarvoice. "We knew this lineup of stellar, local talent would be the type of showcase that would get the conversation going online and offline."
