AUSTIN (KXAN) - A former employee at a Pflugerville Middle School pleaded guilty on Wednesday of producing and distributing child pornography.
Robert Ramos Jr., 33, of Austin, faces up to 50 years in federal prison. His minimum sentence will be at least 15 years under federal guidelines.
Ramos, a former assistant band director at Dessau Middle School, admitted that he obtained sexually explicit images of a 13-year-old girl after contacting her on Facebook using a fake account, federal authorities said.
The images were distributed to a teacher in New York, who has been arrested.
Ramos has been in custody since his arrest by FBI agents in January, and sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
