AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in North Austin.
According to police two vehicles stopped in the roadway on Metric at Rundberg around 3:30 a.m. for unknown reasons.
Police say the occupants of those two vehicles began shooting at each other. One vehicle left the scene and the other waited for police to arrive.
A spokesperson for APD says a female passenger in the remaining vehicle was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge after being shot in the hand.
The roadway was shut down for a while as police investigated the incident but has since reopened.
Witnesses could not give a complete description of the vehicle that got away.
The names of the victims are not being released at this time.
