AUSTIN (KXAN) - If you're headed downtown this weekend, you might want to avoid Congress Avenue.
Starting Friday night at 7 p.m. all northbound lanes of Congress Avenue between Cesar Chavez and 3rd Street will be closed. All northbound traffic will be detoured to Brazos and Lavaca streets.
Southbound traffic will be down to two lanes in the same area.
Construction crews will be putting a crane into place over the weekend.
The streets will re-open at 6 a.m. on Monday, February 11.
