AUSTIN (KXAN) - If you would like to view Chris Kyle's funeral procession through the Austin area, here are the details that you will need to know for Tuesday.
Austin police expect the procession to get into the Austin-area around 11:30 a.m., but be mindful that times could vary.
The procession will travel down IH-35, exit 6th Street, travel east on 7th Street, and north on Navasota Street to the Texas State Cemetery.
The cemetery will be closed to the public during the funeral.
Additionally, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Navasota and Comal Streets will be closed between 7th and 11th Streets. The sidewalk on the north side of 7th Street will be closed between Navasota and Comal Streets.
If you're driving on IH-35 during Tuesday afternoon, expect delays. The highway will remain open during the funeral procession.
Authorities ask that people park their vehicles safely on the frontage roads and overpasses and not park on the main roadway.
If you are going to have a sign or banner, remember not to affix or hang anything over the overpass railing.
