AUSTIN (KXAN) - All lanes of U.S. Highway 183 have reopened following a truck fire that snagged traffic in the hours leading into lunchtime.
The truck fire had parts of Research Boulevard shut down in the lanes heading north Wednesday morning following a wreck with another car.
The truck -- carrying paint -- wrecked with a car, rolled over and pinned another car against the guardrail before then going up in flames just south of Duval Road.
Everyone managed to get out, but since the paint caught fire, hazmat crews were called out.
Traffic was detoured to access roads when the main lanes of U.S. Highway 183 between Braker Lane and Great Hills Trail were shut down heading north.
Austin police responded.
