AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police made an overnight arrest after a man was stabbed near downtown Sunday.
Police say a 25-year-old man was stabbed after allegedly being robbed near E 3rd and Brushy Streets . The man received non-life-threatening injuries.
Robbery detectives were called and a short time later police had detained a person at gunpoint they say was connected to the stabbing.
Police say a second group of three individuals were involved in a chase by an APD motorcycle unit through downtown. The car crashed in front of the Holly Street power Plant.
Police say the three suspects, also believed to be connected to the stabbing, fled. Police eventually found them and arrested them in connection with the stabbing and previous arrest.
No other details about the incident have been released.
