AUSTIN (KXAN) - This afternoon, volunteers with the Susan G. Komen foundation strung up linked bras across the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge over Lady Bird Lake.
Organizers guess they had 150 bras stretching about 200 feet.
About 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life and 1 in 100 men will be too.
The Local Komen chapter director says she lost a friend to the disease at a young age.

"It made me realize this disease does not, it is not biased. It does not matter how old you are, what color your skin is, where you live," said Casey-Moore.
This is all leading up to the Komen Race for the Cure on November 4th.
