AUSTIN (KXAN) - A woman is expected to survive a shooting that happened early Tuesday morning in East Austin.
Witnesses reported hearing four or five gunshots near Manor and Springdale roads just after 3:30 a.m., and police officers found a woman shot in a car at 6300 Vioitha Drive.
Police said the call initially came in surrounding an argument over a theft at Lazy Creek and Purple Sage drives.
The victim reportedly left the area, and that's when the suspect shot into the car on Vioitha Drive, injuring the person inside. The wound is not life-threatening.
Witnesses told police the shooter lives down the street, but officers have not been able to locate a suspect.
