AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) - It was not the typical day on the job for an Austin Police Department officer.
On Sept. 8, Officer Jason Hallmark responded to West Stassney Lane after neighbors saw a potbelly pig wandering around aimlessly.
In dash camera video released to KXAN, Hallmark did not seem worried about the animal -- noting it seemed pretty calm.
However, the 30-pound pig did make a bit of a mess in the backseat of Hallmark’s patrol car.
“Hey! Why did you poop in my car?" asked Hallmark at one point in the video.
The pig simply replied, “Oink.”
Patricia Fraga with the Austin Animal Center told KXAN the pig’s family eventually came to the shelter to take home their pet.
