AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin Police are investigating a suspicious death in Southeast Austin.
Police say a body was found around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday at the Hillside Villas Apartments, located at 2207 Wickersham Lane.
According to police a resident at the apartments, a 36 years old male, woke up Sunday morning to find another man lying dead inside his home.
Police say that resident had just met the deceased 26 year-old man downtown the night before and the two came back to the Hillside Villas Apartments.
Austin police officer Traver Stefan says there were no clear signs of foul play, but they're calling the death suspicious due to the circumstances.
APD tells KXAN the deceased male had no previous medical problems and the resident of the apartment is now undergoing questioning by investigators.
As of Sunday afternoon no arrests have been made in connection to this case, and police have not released the names of anyone involved.
Police are still working to contact family members of the deceased.
The 26 year old's body has been taken to the medical examiner's office where an autopsy and toxicology report is being performed.
